How to Send Mail or Package

The Wilkes County Jail uses Secure Mail services. This software allows family and friends to send messages and photos online to inmates housed in the facility. The staff will review the messages for approval. Delivery of approved messages is within 24 hours.

Funds can be deposited into an inmate’s account using the JailATM kiosk located in the lobby of the jail. The machine will only accept cash. A service charge comes with all deposits made into an inmate’s Trust Fund Account.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is a privilege granted to inmates housed in the Wilkes County Jail. Each inmate is allowed 1 free 15-minute visit per week. Visits need to be scheduled online through the iWebvisit website. Onsite visitation takes place from 1pm to 3:30pm and 7:30 to 9pm. Visitation days are dependent on the inmates’ housing units.

A Pod and B Pod, visitation is on Saturdays.
C Pod and D Pod, visitation is on Sundays.
E Pod and F Pod, visitation is on Tuesdays.
G Pod and H Pod, visitation is on Thursdays.

Remote visitation is also available. Remote visits may be scheduled online daily. The time slots are as follows:

8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
