The Sheriff’s Office oversees the operations of the Alamance County Detention Centers. These facilities provide a safe, secure, and humane environment for individuals who have been charged or convicted of criminal or civil offenses. The detention centers employ 150 people within its four divisions – platoons, personnel/support, facilities/maintenance, and administration.
The original detention center has a capacity of 156 beds while its Annex has 80 beds. The new Alamance County Detention Center, on the other hand, can house 240 inmates, bringing the overall total number of beds to 476.
How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates in the Alamance County Detention Center are allowed to receive mail and packages. Families and friends can send it to 109 S Maple Street, Graham, NC 27253. To send money to an inmate, you can call the facility at 336-570-6317.
The Alamance County Detention Center does not list its visitation hours. Family and friends who wish to visit an inmate at this facility can check with the Sheriff’s Office by calling 336-570-6317.
The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office maintains an online database of all inmates currently housed in their detention centers. The inmates are listed alphabetically based on their last names. You can filter the list to look for specific inmates. Each inmate’s profile contains his/her complete name, age, race/sex, arrest date, court date, release date, and charges. In addition, it shows the inmate’s status, docking number and bond amount.
