How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive general correspondence from family and friends. The envelope must include the sender’s complete name and return address. The letter must be 10 pages or less per envelope. The page size must be no larger than 8.5″ x 11″. Mail can include greeting cards, drawings, and photos. However, polaroid photos are not going to be accepted. All incoming mail will be scanned to make a digital copy to be viewed by the inmate. To send mail to an inmate, please address it to the mail processing center in the following manner:

Visitation Hours
Inmates at the Chatham County Detention Center are allowed visitation. However, the Sheriff’s Office currently has not posted any information regarding their visitation policy online.
