The Randolph County Detention Center is a facility that houses all males and females detained by local law enforcement agencies. It can hold up to 195 inmates. The facility is located at 811 New Century Drive in Asheboro, North Carolina.

How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates housed in the Randolph County Detention Center may receive mail from family members and friends. With the exception of privileged mail, all incoming mail is opened and searched for contraband. Mail should be sent through the US Post Office. It must include the sender’s complete name and return address. To send mail to an inmate, please follow the format below:

Funds may be deposited into the an inmate’s account by maiing a money order to the Detention Center. Make sure that the money order is made payable to the inmate. Money can also be deposited through the JailATM website or by using the kiosk located in the lobby of the detention center. There will be a convenience fee charged for each transaction. Cash transactions cost $3 each while the credit/debit card transactions have a 10% transaction fee (minimum of $3.25).

Visitation Hours

Due to COVID-19, visits are currently suspended in the Randolph County Detention Center until further notice. Under normal circumstances, visitation is held from Monday to Friday from 7pm to 8pm. All visitors need to be on the approved visitors list provided by the inmate. They should also be able to provide a valid state issued photo ID or valid US passport.

Tuesday: POD EB, EC and Female Booking
Wednesday: POD G
Thursday: POD F
Friday: POD Male Booking
Saturday: POD EA and H 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office maintains a list of all inmates currently detained in its facility. The list is arranged alphabetically according to their last names. You can also view another list that is sorted according to the date of confinement. Each inmate’s record shows his/her photo, complete name, age, race, gender, date of confinement, address, arrest record, and charges.
