How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates housed in the Johnston County Jail may receive mail from family members and friends. All incoming mail must include the sender’s complete name and return address. There are several ways to deposit funds into an inmate’s account at Johnston County Jail. You may use the kiosk located in the criminal magistrate lobby just outside the jail. It is available for use 24/7. You may also send money orders or certified checks through the mail. Make sure to make them payable in the inmate’s full name. The mail should be addressed to the inmate and sent to PO Box 1496, Smithfield, NC 27577. Funds may also be deposited online by visiting the JailATM website.
