How to Send Mail or Package

Family members and friends can send correspondence to an inmate housed in the Stokes County Jail. All incoming mail is opened and searched for contraband. Any photos sent to an inmate must be professionally printed. Only letters and money orders will be accepted through mail. Senders must write their full name and return address on the envelope. Funds can be deposited into an inmate’s account by sending money orders via mail. The money order must be made out to the inmate. Family and friends can also bring the money order to the jail, leaving it to the officer on duty at the time. Deposits can also be made using the kiosk in the jail lobby. There is a service fee charged for each transaction. Money can also be transferred into an inmate’s account online by visiting the McDaniel Supply Company’s website.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is a privilege granted to the inmates of the Stokes County Jail. All visits are conducted through the video visitation system provided by Homewav. All visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Visitors need to log into the system 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Remote visits cost $0.30 per minute.
