The Criminal Investigations Division oversees investigation involving serious crimes against persons and property including rape, murder, assault, major theft, and computer crimes. The department also has several different units such as Emergency Response Unit (SWAT Team), K-9, Forensics, and Vice Narcotics Unit. The head of the Oxford Police Department is Police Chief Pat Ford.
