The Matthews Police Department handles hundreds of reports generated by the members of the department including criminal incident reports, arrest reports, and traffic collision reports. To obtain a copy of an incident report, you can submit a request in person by visiting the station during normal business hours. It is recommended that you call 704-841-6701 before stopping by the station to make sure the report is currently available. Most reports are available within 48 hours after the report was taken. For reports that were requested in person, there is no charge. Take note that not all reports are publicly accessible such as juvenile, domestic-related, and types of sexual assault.
